Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder, the Pentagon press secretary, made no mention of the hospitalization at a news briefing Thursday.The short statement did not detail what the procedure was or what complications followed the procedure, but it said Austin is “recovering well.” Ryder told CNN that Austin remained in the hospital as of Friday afternoon, but he is expected to resume his full duties later Friday. Emergency crews responded in West Newbury Friday after a dump truck rolled over, spilling a load of logs along a local road. West Newbury police in a statement said the crash happened on Turkey Hill Road near Rogers Street around 12:40 p.m. involving a 10-wheel truck. The truck, police said, had been traveling south on Turkey Hill Road immediately before it crashed. The driver was evaluated at the scene and declined to be taken to a hospital, according to police. Police shared photos of the crash’s aftermath, showing the truck resting on its side near the side of Turkey Hill Road.Turkey Hill Road was closed while emergency crews from West Newbury, Merrimac and Newburyport worked to clear the scene. Braintree police asked for the public’s help Friday in efforts to track down a man in connection with a series of “Peeping Tom” incidents in town. Police said the incidents have happened the areas around Alida Road and Angela Road. Though most incidents have occurred since November of last year, police said there may be additional incidents dating back to 2021. The incidents, police said, have happened at various times of day, ranging from early-evenings to early-mornings. Though they said the motivation of the person involved in these incidents is unknown, police said the person, described as a light-skinned male or average height and build, has been “surreptitiously viewing or filming young females in their homes.”Police said they have been investigating, adding marked and undercover patrols in the Alida Road and Angela Road neighborhoods while following various leads.Braintree police on Friday shared video as part of their message to the community.
