AUSTIN (KXAN) — It's that time of year, traffic is heavy, and a lot of kids are out and about for school. The new school year is a great time for parents to practice walking and biking safety. When you live in an area growing as rapidly as Austin, you should use extreme caution as families walk and bike around school zones. NEXT: Set for School "There are a lot of changes happening. COEYMANS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- An ATV driver went over a guardrail and down an approximate 25-foot embankment on Monday in Coeymans Hollow, prompting a swift response from rescue personnel. The Ravena Rescue Squad says crews made access to the patient along with law enforcement from the Coeymans Police Department and the Albany County Sheriff's Office. ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie toured ViaPort in Rotterdam to see the future site of the Capital Region Aquatic Center. His visit was part of his annual statewide tour. The aquatic center will provide swim lessons, competitive experiences, and other resources to the region. Heastie toured the facility with Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara, and pledged to provide $5 Million in state funding to help build the center and fund educational swim programs.
