A search for a man who went missing in a White Bear Township lake will resume Thursday, the Ramsey County sheriff’s office said.Deputies responded to Bald Eagle Lake off U.S. 61 about 8 p.m. Wednesday on a report of man who went underwater near an island and hadn’t returned to the surface, according to Steve Linders, a sheriff’s office spokesman.The sheriff’s office water patrol launched a boat and searched for the man, but they didn’t find him.The search will continue Thursday morning, Linders said. A man was killed and another was injured in a shooting Wednesday night in St. Paul.Officers responded to reports of a shooting in Frogtown just before 11 p.m. in the 90 block of Manitoba Avenue. They found a man with an apparent gunshot wound to the head, and paramedics pronounced him dead.Another man was reportedly grazed by a bullet and paramedics took him to Regions Hospital.As of early Thursday, police said they were interviewing possible witnesses and collecting evidence. Investigators asked anyone with information to call them at 651-266-5650.The homicide was the 21st of the year in St. Paul. Police said they will release the victim’s name after the Ramsey County medical examiner’s office confirms his identity.There were 22 homicides in St. Paul as of this date last year. FENTON, Mo. - A Fenton family was forced from their home overnight after authorities say lightning struck the house, catching it on fire.Officials with the Fenton Fire Protection District say fortunately the family living in the home was able to escape without any injuries, but there were some scary moments and the damage to the house is extensive. The roof is gone, and there is some siding damage to the homes on both sides.This happened at Meramec Meadows Drive, not far from Smitzer Mill Road and Meramec Station Road.
